Consumer Survey Measures Services

Some interesting responses are being received from PILC’s Consumer Needs Assessment Survey that was distributed in June.

While some people dread filling out questionnaires, the survey measures important services for people with disabilities. Consumers have an opportunity to express opinions about employment, transportation, education, housing, communications and services for youth. The survey questions the accessibility and quality of services at PILC, as well.

Consumers that have responded so far have rated the areas of transportation, housing and employment as high priority areas that they rely on the most. Assistive technology and youth services are also important needs. Results of the survey will be used to improve or refine services at PILC, and will be reported to state and federal agencies.

This year’s survey is being coordinated by Sylvia Bernal who is glad to assist consumers with completing the questionnaire. The survey is also available online at www.panhandleilc.org. All responses should be completed by August 29.
