"Your Key to Independence"

Contributions

The Center depends heavily on the voluntary gifts of friends. Although we are fortunate to receive state and federal resources, monetary donations help us meet rising costs, unexpected expenses and to expand activities for people with disabilities. More than 200 people with disabilities of all kinds come to the Center for life skills training, advocacy, counseling and information. We also provide outreach servieses to 26 counties in the Texas Panhandle and to non-consumers.

The Center receives its donations by occasional fund raising events, or contributions of knowledgeable volunteers can assist with a variety of training issues. We also accept donations of durable medical equipment or educational materials. Your generous support helps assist people with disabilities to live life more fully and as independently as they wish.

Aside from monetary gifts, volunteers may also contribute to the Center’s mission by assisting people with independent living skills. Learning to ride a city bus, how to succeed in getting a job or managing their finances can be major challenges to normal, everyday life. For many people, the Center is their only source of guidance and support in finding a second chance to succeed as members of the community.
